Speech Pathologist – Grade 1
Fixed Term – Part Time (64 hrs per fortnight)
We are seeking a motivated Speech Pathologist with a commitment to quality patient centred care and sound clinical skills, to join the Wimmera Health Care Group Speech Pathology team. This part time-fixed term position is available from 10/09/2018 to 17/05/2019 and includes working 64 hours per fortnight.
The WHCG Speech Pathology department provides efficient, effective, evidence-based speech pathology services across the campuses of Wimmera Health Care Group (incorporating Wimmera Base Hospital & Dimboola Hospital). As the Grade 1 Speech Pathologist you will responsible for a diverse adult and paediatric caseload in our acute, subacute and community settings. The Speech Pathology department places a strong emphasis on professional development with formalised clinical supervision and mentoring.

Key Selection Criteria includes:
Bachelor of Speech Pathology, Master of Speech Pathology or recognised equivalent
Eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
Entry level Competency Based Occupational Standards (CBOS) skills, as outlined by SPA
Thorough grounding in adult and paediatric assessment and intervention including dysphagia management
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and enthusiastically as part of a multidisciplinary team as well as independently
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Highly professional and effective interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to monitor, evaluate and modify own performance through reflective practice
Current driver’s licence
Commitment to working in a rural health organization
